Kili-Konka Cultural Tours

Kilimanjaro Is More Than The Climb.
The people who traditionally live on mount Kilimanjaro are called the Chagga (which means 'mixture'), and have a long and fascinating history with the mountain.

There are 13 ridges separated by huge rivers which were difficult to cross before roads and bridges were built. Each ridge therefore, has a different story to tell, and even the language is slightly different from one ridge to the next.

Hear firsthand, the tales about the encounter of the Chagga with the first Arab, the first European explorer to Kilimanjaro and the first Christian missionary. See the first coffee plant ever grown in Kilimanjaro, and taste a cup brewed straight from a farm.
